ABOUT CCBS

Welcome to CCBS

December 2015 saw the birth of Café Coffee & Bakery (NZ) Systems Limited (CCBS) which is proudly owned and operated by a local Kiwi couple, Andrew Morgan and Greta Martin. CCBS purchased the Master Franchise rights to New Zealand for Esquires Cafés, Gloria Jean's Coffees, Brumby’s Bakeries, The Coffee Guy, and Café2U from Retail Food Group in 2015. Based in Auckland, CCBS has an experienced dedicated team driven to service the needs of over 100 franchisees. CCBS enjoyed a stellar year in 2016 with some twenty new franchisees which have joined our Franchise family.

Our focus is squarely on the franchisees. If our franchisees are making profits and growing then we inevitably have a successful business capable of supporting each brand consistently. There are existing business opportunities for sale as well as new sites across the brands. As part of the application process, we’d like you to talk to our franchisees when deciding to see if there is a good business fit for both parties. Ultimately, we view our Franchisees as business parties and it's imperative you feel the same.

CCBS is also heavily focused on the rebranding and relaunch of Esquires Cafés and Brumby’s Bakeries to provide a brighter and fresher look in the café/bakery space. We have continued to roll out several more Esquires Café stores last year.

Gary Macilwee is one of our longest serving franchisees from Esquires Bayfair Tauranga.

“I managed an electronic store and my wife Michelle was an accounts administrator. We also had a few property rentals. I had always wanted my own business. I looked around a lot but found I could only afford a job. I thought franchising would let me leverage up to something a bit bigger. Then I looked at heaps of franchises but thought we could work best with the team at Esquires. I’ve been a franchisee now for nearly 10 years.

We’ve had some good and some tough years in that time, however I’ve liked that it has provided choices (most of the time) about hours and days worked.

The new Master Franchisee is great. At the end of the day, he’s also there to make money but it’s nice having an owner, not just an employee who can make decisions at the other end of the phone quickly. I think you have to be prepared and remember that you’re a business owner and not an employee. Your day doesn’t end with your time as manager or book keeper. You also have to make some time for growing your business too.”

Our franchise systems are supported with full operational training and will give you the confidence to run a successful business. For as little as $50,000 +GST we could have you in an existing business or build you a brand new business from $115,000 - $500,000 +GST.

If you’re looking for a lifestyle change and want to work for yourself, then please call Andrew Morgan today on 022 419 3156 for further information.

We look forward to hearing from you.
